This testimony pays honor to a man who is no longer with us in life. But will always remain with us Somewhat in the spirit part of our memory because it was the birthing of this testimony, we called him “DOC” for short.
This testimony, it's very unusual to say the least 1989. I was a student at the Jameson School of Ministry and my Ministry Professor after I had graduated school was the instrument, thank God, who got me started where radio is concerned. I was asked by him perhaps I should say summoned by him to his room where he and his son were working and he gave me a suggestion, which was for me regarding radio just out of the blue, it seemed like out of nowhere, because he had never mentioned it before to me at any point while we were in class.
Now that we were in Puerto Rico for a Ministry trip, I and a few other students, and thought that it was all of us that would do this but it was not. He suggested to me that I should take my handheld recorder one of those little recorders and go out to the beach and back of the hotel near the water and make recordings messages four of them and that he what's going to have then played on the radio in Virginia, And of course I thought he was kidding.
But it turned out he was very serious. You see he was a playful Professor and sometimes we just didn't know how to take it if he was serious or not but Praise God he was and that began my journey to where I am now.
The next time he approached me was in Helena AR when he introduced me to a radio station owner and once again I was asked to go on the radio but I was afraid and also I thought, is he playing again but he was not God was moving in him to push me into a place that I needed to go but because of my own apprehension I was not in a hurry to do so nevertheless God will’s was and is being done.
Because not only have I ministered on the radio I’m also experienced with Internet radio and that's because of his influence by God in life and God’s grace, I'm doing it.
When I came back from Evansville IN a few years later God made the final decision on the subject and it was not by the suggestion but by an Angel regarding teaching Gods people.
And as I was sitting on my bed one day is when I was instructed to go to my computer, open my email and listen as a young lady shared her testimony that within a few weeks, I was on the air.
God is awesome because the tapes he had me make on his suggestions were the first tapes that played on Blogtalkradio.com, for 12 years, International Internet Radio and others. To God be the Glory!
